Online Counselling. Online Person-Centred Art Therapy.
Skype, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and Phone Support.
Karen Harrison of Artbeat Therapy is an experienced online therapist, having worked as a Student Support Mental Health Mentor with the Open University for many years. She is at ease with using many platforms to deliver high quality counselling, coaching and mentoring.
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions all therapy is currently delivered remotely and Artbeat is excited to offer its new online Art Therapy Course. Delivered over an initial 5 weeks you will be set a range of tasks to challenge your current thinking patterns and discover insights into your coping mechanisms and resiliance at this unusual time.
Each week you will 'meet' with Karen via a video link to discuss the Art Therapy exercise, working together to interpret barriers, challenges, strengths and goals for the future.
As with all clients Karen continues to offer an extension of the therapy session, with telephone, text and email support in between sessions at no extra cost.
No artistic ability is required - whether you have a full set of art materials or just a biro and old cereal box, you can use your imagination to create and build on your creativity, using words and images, drawing, collaging, poetry.
Artbeat Therapy offers a range of services including individual personal counselling, family therapy and bereavement counselling online.
We fully intend to resume consultations at our Crowland office 15 minutes from Peterborough, Stamford and Spalding as soon as is safe to do so. Artbeat also runs group wellbeing workshops and pop-up art studio sessions at your place of work or home.
Artbeat therapists are trained and experienced in working with anxiety, depression, self-harm, relationship issues, eating disorders, childhood trauma and workplace stress. Ages: from secondary school to senior citizens. BACP Registered and Enhanced DBS for working with children and vulnerable adults.

“Feedback from residents (and staff) was that the session was really enjoyable and beneficial, I certainly thought the atmosphere you had created was lovely and great to see so many getting involved.”

“Myself and a friend attended Art Therapy with Karen for the first time tonight and had a wonderful time. We were made to feel welcome and at ease upon arrival. The session was extremely relaxed, no awkwardness at all. Having absolutely no art ability I was unsure what to expect but thoroughly enjoyed myself and enjoyed getting involved. Highly recommended. “
