Karen is an artist and therapist who is passionate about the benefit of art as therapy. She believes creative expression and social interaction are vital for emotional and mental well-being, now more than ever. Karen originally worked as a graphic designer whilst running a women's charity, which led her re-train as a counsellor working in schools, for Bupa and in private practice.

After re-kindling her own artistic passion and joining a local art group Karen completed training with The British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT) and now combines art within her therapeutic practice to offer online art therapy alongside traditional person-centred talking therapy.

Therapeutic art can be fun, and Karen provides home-based art activities to stimulate your emotional and mental thought processes which are then discussed during online video Skype sessions.

Karen is a member of the BACP, BUPA, Psychology Today and Beat Eating Disorders.
